An orange cocktail sits next to fried chicken.

We get it. Sometimes standing over the frying pan attempting to whip up some masterful creation at the end of the day can feel like a downright chore. So for those nights when you just don’t feel like cooking, luckily there’s a bunch of standout restaurants and cafes packaging up our favourite dishes to go. So why not take the night off cooking, support your local, and enjoy some delicious eats from the comfort of your couch.

The best part? With CommBank Rewards, eligible CommBank customers get $15 cashback when they spend $30 or more at Menulog. Simply fire up the CommBank app, activate the Menulog reward then spend using an eligible Mastercard debit or credit card. So, what’s stopping you? It's time to get feasting.

Henry’s Burgers

Fitzroy

Henry’s are changing the game with their plant-based burgers that taste like the real thing. No matter if you’re a meat-eater or not, these burgers will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Henry’s philosophy begins with consciously looking at sustainable ingredients to create ethical fast food that’s 100 per cent vegan. All the burgers are damn delicious, but if we had to choose, we reckon Henry’s Original is a clear winner. It features Moving mountains patty, ketchup, lettuce, cheddar, pickles and special sauce, so if you’re looking for a takeaway option without the guilt and that’s good for the planet, Henry’s is the place.

Onda Bar And Eatery

Richmond

Fiesta is definitely the mood at Onda but since regular dining isn’t a thing just yet, we reckon you should grab their drool-worthy South-American fusion feeds to go and take the party to your home. Found on Bridge Street in Richmond, Onda has quickly become a local favourite and rightly so. Their experimental dishes like Maple Chipotle Glazed Eggplant Taco (not something you see everyday) with red pimento puree, and green slaw is an absolute winner in our books. Order it today and live with zero regrets.

Bodega Underground

CBD

If you love tacos as much as we do, Bodega Underground needs to be sent to the top of your must-try takeaway list. Tucked away on Little Bourke Street, these guys are slinging delicious tacos every day of the week until 3am. Our favourites? The Tacos Campechanos, which includes one spicy chorizo and one braised pork taco served with salsa verde, fresh onion and coriander. Follow it up with their cinnamon sugar-coated churros that come topped with coconut dulce de leche. Plus, they’re gluten-free. Winning.

Juicy Bao

Chinatown

The guys at Juicy Bao have your usual suspects covered off, like steamed or fried prawn dumplings and several fried rice varieties. But if you get lost in the 10-page menu, we definitely recommend the Signature Steamed Juicy Bao Pork Xiao Long Bao and Pork and Prawn wonton in peanut, chilli and spice sauce. These guys are fast with no fuss making them the perfect option for a speedy midweek takeaway option when you don’t feel like cooking.

Meet Patty

Mentone

If you love next-level burgers, fries and milkshakes, then this is the place to hit up. Meet Patty is giving us grass-fed beef patties on ultra-soft brioche buns with any burger classics you fancy. But if beef isn’t your thing, try Patty’s fried chicken burger. The free-range chook thighs are brined, buttermilked, and feature their special spice blend. It’s then served up with slaw and put between that sweet, soft brioche roll. Perfection.
