Winter is the perfect time to get stuck into a market in Melbourne, and just when you thought you’d seen them all—the European Night Market comes back into the frame.
Every Friday night from 5pm to 10pm this July, the European Night Market will take over Madame Brussels Lane and offer up a ton of market stalls dishing up some of the best food you’ll find in the city.
This year’s event is 30% bigger than previous years and is filled with the likes of Café Babbo, Eat Cannoli, Il Panzerotto Taste of Puglia, Tiramisu Lift Me Up, Pop Up Crepe, The Brulee Cart, Degani, Frencheese, Bavarian Bangers, Bretzel Biz, and Pierogi Pierogi. That’s a mouthful.
To go with all that food there will be disco beats performed by Fleiss, as well as roving performers to keep the crowds entertained.
CBD distillery Little Lon Distilling Co has created a cocktail inspired by the European Night Market called A Lon Winter’s Night which features Ginger Mick Gin, Le Birlou apple and chestnut liqueur, lemon, cloudy apple juice, and orgeat. The cocktail is served warm and topped with flaked almonds and fresh nutmeg. A true winter warmer.
The European Night Market kicks off on Friday 5 July on Madame Brussels Lane off Lonsdale Street.
