Vegan 'chicken' has been in the news a fair bit of late. And it's been popping up on plenty of menus in cities around Australia.
This week, Elsternwick burger joint Smoke & Pickles are giving you the chance to get your hands on vegan 'chicken' for the low, low price of just $1.
Available until Sunday 8 September, and in conjunction with their usual $1 chicken ribs offer, Smoke & Pickles are serving up their vegan “chicken” which is made in-house with a Seitan dough formed from a high protein flour and veggie master stock. The “chicken” is then seasoned with nutritional yeast, and dunked in chia buttermilk before they give it a good frying.
Get in fast, because you can only get it until Sunday 8 September.
