The Feed | All The News You Missed This Week

If you’ve been binging MAFS so much you forgot to check in with us over the past few days (you do you), we’re recapping all the glorious gastronomic intel right here. Sub $10 burgz, renegade tinnies and not a whiff of fake news. Woah. There’s even a Sunday Sesh to end all of the Sunday Sesh’s, aaaaaand you’re bound by a Melburnian Oath to attend.

Here's all the food news you missed this week in Melbs.

  • We’ve rounded up Where To Get Melbourne’s Best Cold Coffee, because sometimes caffeine is just better on the rockz. And no, we haven’t slept a wink since.

  • In case you’ve been living under a proverbial rock, it was IWD this week. As if having XX chromosomes wasn’t enough to celebrate, Fargo & Co doused the ladies of Richmond in FREE BELLINIS for the occasion.

  • As much as we like to gently bully Sydney, we couldn’t deny our jealousy of their cult Tella Balls Dessert Bar. Luckily, they’ve made the trek to Melbs, and it’s been a mutual woo-ing affair since.

  • If you’re bored of the ol’ Aperol Spritz fanfare, très bonnes nouvelles (very good news). There’s a Parisian spritz bar docking at the Yarra, and is it Happy Hour already?

  • You don’t have to be on the Amalfi Coast to live La Dolce Vita. New kid on the block, Compa, is now scooping icy swirls of gelato into actual brioche buns.

  • We toured Little Odessa, a new wine bar that plates up Ukrainian spreads, natural wines and lethal tequila cocktails. So, er, when’s your reservation?

  • You now have a new brow-dresser here to end your Cara Delevingne envying sessions. Melanie Marris will arch your face-framers to perfection. #browsonfleek

  • It’s Labour Day weekend. And like any long weekend, that means it’s time to PAR-TAY. We’ve been kind enough to talk you through all the bona fide Melbourne ways to live out your next few days.

  • If Vietnamese pulled pork sliders sound like your idea of a gooood time (we are kindred spirits), Bambu is the new foodie drop for you. South Melbs, you’ve done it a-bloody-gain.

  • Cheesy, oozy, devilish burgz that won’t bust your hip-pocket are upon us. Thank you gastronomic Gods. Pickle is here with a $7.90 cheeseburger, so looks like you’re Brunswick East-ing it for dins tonight.

  • The #TimesUp reckoning has transcended the ‘gram and made it onto tinnies. F*ck yes. We thought wine in a can couldn’t really get much better, but it just did.

  • The Ninch (*local slang for Mornington Peninsula) has just gone up a notch on the fanciness ranks. The iconic Pt.Leo Estate cut the red ribbon on its second restaurant, Laura. And she’s got a thing for fine dining.

  • As if QT Melbourne wasn’t already vying for the title of Pinnacle Melbourne Foodie Hangout, they’ve just welcomed Pascale Bar & Grill to the club. It’s an ode to the modern-day watering hole, with a culinary edge.

  • Summer’s over and we know you’re busy mourning, but The Park Werribee’s seasonal menu shift will make you just a tad more excited about those amber-turning leaves.

  • Our resident Windsor lova Morris Jones is closing its doors to undergo a makeover (think Cali-inspired oasis vibes). For an inebriated wave-out of the old before welcoming the new, MJ is hosting a cocktail-filled Demolition Weekend Session. Woop freakin’ woop.

Up to speed? Excellent. Now here’s 19 Free Things To Do In Melbourne This March.
