Step on the gas pedal and crank up the tunes: an insanely luxe cafe cross market cross event space-hybrid has just landed in Melbourne. Drop errything.
The pinnacle of #luxelivin’, Mercedes have opened a brand spanking new Mercedes Me concept space at the foot of the Rialto Towers, inspired by our city’s flawless café culture. Expect coffee and a brunch menu curated by ST ALi, an exclusive “Meet The Maker” area (think of it as a miniature pop-up event space) and a new Mercedes-Benz car week to week. They see us rollin’ in, they hatin’.
Brunch-wise (because we know that’s why you’re here), there’s a boutique menu, cheekily-inspired by Mercedes-Benz. Expect options like the My German Cousin with grilled kransky, fried potato, maple smoked mustard, fried egg, sauerkraut and gouda. The Housemade Waffle is a delectable combination of spelt and wholemeal flour waffle, stracciatella and confit blood orange.
Because Mercedes never do anything halfway, they’ve also teamed up with ST ALi to create an exclusive range of coffee blends for the store as well as a new, patented coffee roaster incorporating parts from Mercedes-Benz models.
Upstairs, the Meet The Maker space is promised to be a melting pot of iconic, talented artisans keen to share their knowledge and decades of experience. Think: Melbourne fashion designers, boutique gin distilleries and niche watch makers.
Workshops, hands-on classes and talks are all promised to kick off in 2018. The best bit? Every Meet The Maker workshop is FREE, zero dollar dollas, nada, zip!
Mercedes me Melbourne is also set to host after-dark, standout experiences in collaboration with the top art, food, fashion, sport, design and innovation brands. For more info and to keep up to date with the latest events, head here.
