BRB, Melbourne Is Getting A Concert Series With Lions And Giraffes

By Rachel Lay
18th Oct 2017

If you’re anything like us, chances are you’ve been hiding a not-so-secret desire to hang out at the zoo once the gates are closed so you can live out your Night At The Museum fantasy. Who wouldn’t want to spend the evening chilling with meerkats, ‘gramming with giraffes, and star-gazing with the lions? If you’ve never thought about this, you’re probably lying—because it sounds amazing to us.

The good news is, though, that fantasy is now a delightful reality thanks to the Zoo Twilights Series which pretty much lets you do the above, and then some. And all in the name of saving the Eastern Barred Bandicoot from extinction (which we should defs be keen to do, because they’re freaking adorable, you guys).

If cute animals weren’t reason enough to attend, don’t worry—there’s more! For one, there’s the line-up. We can confirm for you guys that the one and only Ben Folds will be headlining with support from Lucy Rose. But that's not it—Cut Copy, The Cat Empire, Saskwatch,The Preatures, Ali Barter, Kate Miller-Heidke and more will all be in attendance across the series. For specific dates, check the ticket link below.

You should probs add Tuesday 24 to your diary, because that's when tickets drop. Psst—with a line-up this bomb they’ll be flying out the door, so get in quick.

So far Zoo Twilights has a pretty compelling argument: live music in the sunshine and helping out an adorable tiny ball of cuteness… but did we mention the food trucks and booze?! A mouth-watering selection of foodie gems and pop-up bars will be on hand to help sate your appetite as you bliss out to epic tunes.

Already sold?! Check the details below and add this beauty of an event to your iCal, stat.
