Across Thursday 5th and Friday 6th March, Darren Purchese from Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio will be hosting some demonstrations, Easter goodie tastings and more! He’ll be signing and selling his latest cookbook ‘Sweet Studio’ while he’s there! Get prepped for Easter with some of Burch & Purchese’s too-cute-to-eat (almost) Easter eggs and choc lollipops!

All of Victoria’s best autumn flavours will be in the one spot today and tomorrow, thanks to the Flavour Exchange! Head along in the evening to much on some hearty pies, pastas and potatoes, or peruse the tastes from some of Victoria’s best breweries and wineries. Learn the art of food preservation, embrace the oncoming cooler weather (which means richer and heartier meals!), and pick the brains of some of our best local producers.
Cheers to a good frothy! Beer DeLuxe in Fed Square is hosting a four-course beer and food matching dinner as part of the Good Beer Week celebrations! Miro Bellini will host the evening, with another session taking place on Saturday. You so often get degustations matched with wines, so mix things up a bit with some beautiful brews!
Black comedy combined with drama creates highly acclaimed (and super popular) film, Birdman. See it tonight at Moonlight Cinemas, with their $10 March Madness special! Cheap flicks, lovely setting in the botanic gardens, and snacks galore? Yeah, we know, we don’t really need to sell it!

Port Fairy Folk Festival kicks off today, in the beautiful coastal town of, err, Port Fairy. The final flathead release will be happening soon, with four ticket releases totally sold out already. Get ready to book tickets for this un-missable event, Listers, and see acts such as Sinéad O’Conner, The Gloaming, John Butler Trio, The Black Sorrows and more. Not to mention the fun-filled, family friendly markets that run throughout the town during the festival.

The annual Moomba festival is back and highlighted and circled with flashing arrows on Melbournians’ calendars. Head down to Birrarung Marr and join in the festivities. Check out the best skate talent, some sweet live tunes, or even live water sports! The famous Birdman rally is happening on Sunday at midday, the Moomba parade is a must-see event, kicking off on Monday at 11am! Celebrate the long weekend with Moomba, show off some Melbourne pride, Listers.
Good Beer Week is a time to celebrate the fabulous frothy. So head on down to the Beer Garden Banquet at Jardin Tan, and indulge in this Melbourne Food and Wine Festival extravaganza. Vietnamese style Sangria and coffee affogatos will grace the menu, along with delightful canapés—and don’t forget the beer! Tasty treats include JFC (Jardin Fried Chicken) Banh Mi, and a Moo Brew designed Choc Top! Food coma, here we come.
Collingwood champions, Saint Crispin, are trekking their foodie prowess across to the beach, with a pop-up at the St Kilda Bowling Club. Collaborating with Pierre Roelofs, Head Chef Joe Grbac from Saint Crispin will serve up a beautiful five-course degustation (desserts as a highlight), with matched beverages from Thomas Olive. Lunch and dinner sittings available. Lawn bowls optional (but definitely fun).
Head to Kyneton to discover over 60 talented artisans showcasing their rare and forgotten trades at the Lost Trades Fair. From rocking horse making to pin stripers, learn about unique crafts and the manual workers behind them. Meet the makers, and maybe pick up a new hobby while you’re at it!

The Port Phillip Mussel Festival will hit the South Melbourne Market this weekend, with live jazz music, entertainment, and some mighty tasty seafood! Help shellebrate local produce, with champion mussels from Port Phillip Bay. See favourites from St Ali, Mr Lawrence, Dandelion, Claypots, Simply Spanish and more. We’re thinking mussel paella, drunken mussels, and maybe an extra bucket here or there!
