There’s something about miniatures that makes people go wild and Living Edge seems to have picked up on it.
The furniture store is currently hosting the Vitra Design Museum’s 100 miniatures exhibition, which showcases miniatures of the most iconic chair designs in history. From obscure rocking chairs to Le Corbusier designs, these miniatures convey the significance of design and the role it plays in the industrial production process. Also, they’re really fun to look at.
The mini chairs are exact 1:6 replicas of the originals, are presented on eye-level platforms, so you can admire the designs up close and feel like a proper giant as an added bonus.
The exhibition is on until 31 January in Melbourne, after which it will hit Brisbane in February and then Perth in March—so if you're down in Richmond, make sure you get a good look before it’s gone.
