Where To Buy Cute Stationery

By Sophia McMeekin - 05 Mar 2015

As much we love our digital day jobs, we’re big fans of occasionally ditching the desktop in favour of some old-school pen-and-paper action. But finding a stationery line that’s worth your chicken scratch is a challenge in itself—this is one occasion when Office Works just isn’t going to cut it.

These are some of our favourite local and international stationery brands, perfect for weddings, birthdays, love notes, thank-yous, miss yeeewsss, and any other sentiment worthy of your very best handwriting.

Rifle Paper Co.

Personalised stationery, journals, greeting cards, calendars, prints, and more, this American-born paper house has a legion of fans, who swoon for their gold embossed goodies. Rifle Paper Co.'s signature botanical prints are a favourite, and their easy online personalised stationery offering is the business for thoughtful, last minute gifts.

Mi Goals

In a sea of Insta-quote fonts and embossed love hearts, Mi Goals selection of diaries, prints, and goal cards are a breathe of fresh, motivational air. Their Get Shit Done prints and diaries have a cult following and sell out as soon as they hit their virtual shelves, so keep your eyes peeled!

Sugar Paper LA

This cute-as-a-button LA-based stationery brand has Hipster Wedding Invite all over it. These guys love a gold polkadot, aren’t afraid of a bit of matchy-matchy gift-wrapping, and have some of the sweetest thank-you notes you’ll ever send.

Miss Poppy Design

A focus on gorgeous handwriting, notepads and gift cards, and Insta-worthy individualised pencils set Miss Poppy apart from paper-pack. She also makes mugs and iPhone cases that will have you squealing ‘keeeeeewt!’ like a deranged idiot.

Inky Co

Because it’s never too early to start nutting out your Christmas wrapping plan, Inky Co. is here to save you. An online providore of all things wrappy, this Melbourne-born online paper store has wrapping paper galore, plus all the necessary gift ad-ons, like tags, ribbons, and more.

Sweet William

Home to many a gorg’ watercolour print, Sweet William also stocks note books, greeting cards, gift wrap, and gift tags. This stationery store is kid-approved, but just as appealing to adults who aren’t afraid of a touch of whimsy.

Shelf/Life

Sydney-based online store, Shelf/Life is home to collection of cute stationery brands and greeting cards, notepads and gift-giving essentials, such as washi tape and twine. Because every adult worth their salt needs washi tape.

Little Peach Co.

This totally adorable Brisbane-based personalised stationery boutique is doing some one-off wizardry on their vintage Heidelberg Planten, Bertha. We love Little Peach Co. for weddings, birthdays, or any special occasion worthy of one of their beautiful designs.

Bespoke Letterpress

You’d need a heart of stone to not let the embossed lettering and cute prints used in Brisbane-based, Bespoke Letterpress’s designs sway you. While their stationery offering runs the gauntlet of wrapping paper, personalised stationery, and bespoke wedding invites (they’ll even do your business cards), it’s their charming greeting cards that have won us over. A combo’ of fresh graphic design and quality craftsmanship make these almost-too-pretty-to-use cards a firm fave.

Papier D’Amour

If nothing gets you more excited than that back-to-school feeling of a fresh pencil case stuffed with great stationery, you’ll love online stationery mecca, Papier D’Amour (we never knew we needed a set of Kate spade NY Post Its until we discovered this online stationery paradise). A must if you want a big range of stationery to choose from.
