Oh, the weather outside is frightful…but that isn’t stopping burger shack Wise Boys from trying to get Aucklanders to brave the weather and head along to the fabulous Midnight Baker for a great evening of food, bevvies, and music.
The Dominion Road eatery will play host to Wise Boys, as guests have the chance to try one (or all!) of four burgers on offer. This includes the launch of their BBQ pulled-jackfruit burger—their vegetarian equivalent of a pulled-pork burger. Jackfruit is a massive green fruit grown in tropical climates, and Wise Boys will pull it, add their top-secret sauce to give it a tangy BBQ taste, and pop it on a bun with coleslaw, pineapple, and their signature vegan aioli. Can we get a yes please?
They’ve also decided to resurrect their Tempeh Trap—a burger that was hugely popular around six months ago. This baby has slabs of tempeh fried on a bun with caramelised onions and mushrooms.
If neither of these tickle your fancy, then there’s always the Moroccan or Kiwi burger to choose from.
Add to the mix some mouth-wateringly delicious fries (with said aioli, of course) and a selection of Karma Cola drinks and you’ll be in foodie heaven.
And…if that wasn’t enough, they're also putting on some music to enjoy while you chomp and slurp away. Easter Thursday sorted? We think so!
