Ramen Samurai in East Victoria Park is dishing up more than just good ramen. The housemade gyoza are some of the best we've had the pleasure of tasting in Perth and the karaage tako (fried octopus) is like salt and pepper squid but 100 times better. Once you're done with those, you'll want to move on to the ramen! The noodles are made fresh and they are good with a capital G! The spicy miso ramen is our pick, served with chashu, egg, corn, menma (you know, those things that look like bamboo shoots), black fungus, seaweed and leek. Yum! If you're searching for New York style cookies in Perth, then Get Chunky at the Fremantle Markets is the answer to your prayers. You'll be hard pressed to choose between the s'mores inspired choc chunk, the PB and chocolate and the coffee infused white choc chunk, but don't discount the oatmeal and raisin—with shredded coconut and deliciously sweet raisins, this will win over even the biggest sweet tooth. These cookies are huge and oh so sweet, but they'll last for a few days so we think you should get one of each flavour and work your way through them.
