We’ve been busting to tell you about this pop-up event happening in July.
Mind you, it has happened before, but the tickets sell out so fast, we would’ve built you up only to let you down when you found out there were no seats left.
But this time, we’re getting in early. Because who doesn’t want to know about a completely vegan and gluten-free pop-up dinner party?!
Hosted by Taiyo To Yuki Street Food in the Palmwoods Memorial Hall, this casual and intimate Japanese-inspired dinner features four delicious courses for $45 and, even better, it’s BYO. Woot!
The menu has been designed with our tastebuds in mind, so even if you’re not vegan or coeliac, there’s pretty much a 100% chance you’re going to love it. First up is Yaki Onigiri—deep fried rice balls with a crunchy sesame coating served with a tangy mayo and sweet soy, followed by Tofu Karaage served on a bed of fresh greens.
From there it’s all about Zukkini Sarada AKA katsu zucchini with slow roasted veggies and slaw and, to tie a neat bow around it all, the Matcha Pocky. Anyone who’s a fan of the Japanese sweet that is pocky will have their mind blown with this vegan version of housemade biscuit logs dipped in white chocolate and matcha, with a dark chocolate ganache and tart raspberry gel. Drooling yet? You’re not alone.
With numbers strictly limited, you’d be a vegan fool to contemplate this event for too long. So, hop on over to the event page to grab your seat, stat.
