In spite of being recently bundled into the dreary lockout zone, Bar M down at Rushcutters Bay is back on top this June with new winter additions to its already epic menu. Seriously good cheese and whisky pairing options are now available and, in this case, indulgent would be an understatement.
On the line-up, the legends here are bringing you whiskies from all across the globe: think liquid gold from the likes of Italy, Scotland and Japan. But the true reason for our attendance is the cheese list which likes of truffle pecorino, Roquefort and creamy d’Affinois.
The pecorino will be matched with Puni Alba Italian whisky—a drop that's matured in Sicilian Marsala casks, with delightful fruity and floral notes. The strength of the Roquefort has been buddied up with inimitable and brazen 16 years old Lagavulin, and D'Affinois has been paired with The Nikka 12 Japanese whisky. Whether you're well into whisky or just starting out, prepare to be amazed.
