Color Me Rad 5km Run Arrives In Sydney

By Ellie Schneider - 09 Feb 2014

America's famed running race, Color Me Rad, has announced its first Australian event at Sydney's Motorsport Park.

Inspired by the Holi Festival of India, since 2012 the 5km run has been held in all its technicolour glory—everywhere from New York, to New Orleans, Mexico, Canada and across Asia. Now for the first time, on the morning of Sunday the 23rd of February, the Sydney Motorsport Park's grounds will be transformed in a tsunami of colour.

So what's the aim of the game? Runners start off with a fresh white t-shirt, and must get moving before being struck by a blaze of colour bombs and cannons. At the finish line, runners will be met by DJ duo The Faders, with colour throws and blasters to keep the party rolling.

Best of all, a portion of the proceeds from Sydney's Color Me Rad will be donated to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, an organisation that provides funding and tools to researchers in the fight against cancer.
