Real Food, Old Ways

One of Sydney's oldest establishments, Vaucluse House, will be transformed into a pop-up cooking school throughout February and March.

Real Food Projects will be taking over the kitchen, with a series of workshops including: Food & Words: a food writing and photography masterclass (February 2); Foraging & Colonial Cocktails (February 16); Capturing Cultures: fermentation in colonial times (February 23); and Pickling with Hands Lane (March 9).

Patrons will be offered a private tour of the house and garden, before partaking in a 2-hour cooking class, and a lovely long lunch featuring some of Sydney's finest artisan producers.

Places are limited so book now before classes sell out! For full details visit

Real Food Projects connects people to the story behind their food. They are a community of friends, eaters, chefs, growers, foragers, butchers, and farmers.
