Off the back of his second Oscar win (just casually) for his performance in Green Book, Mahershala Ali has jumped on board the independent science fiction movie donned Sovereign. And that doesn’t even scratch the surface.
On top of this, it’ll be produced by the brainpower behind the trifecta that brought us Stranger Things—that is, Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Dan Cohen. As for the Sovereign screenplay, it was written by Scott Beck and Bryan woods, the same writers that gave the world A Quiet Place.
