In recent years, food trucks have gone from school to cool, slowly rolling their way into our hearts and tummies. From milkshakes to pizzas, coffee to burgers, Sydney’s food truck scene has been slowly building up to be one of the best in the world. However, if you haven’t got the time to chase after these tasty meals on wheels, you’re in luck as the crème da la crème unite for a foodie gathering to end them all.
The Entertainment Quarter's Showring will play host to a bunch of Sydney’s best food trucks for one wonderful weekend this October. The first of its kind, the EQ Food Truck Jam will not only see the finest foods on offer but also live music, artistic performances from the Sydney Trapeze School, some pumping DJ sets, an ice-skating rink and, wait for it… a jumping castle—which we could recommend you hop onto BEFORE you sample all the food!
‘But what food trucks are going to be there?!’ we hear you ask. Well, hold on to your hats because it is going to be one delicious line-up. With about 24 food trucks serving up tasty treats, including Happy As Larry, New York Pastrami Deli, Monster Rolls and Tsuru, plus a range of sweet offerings from the likes of Knafeh and the internet breaking Tella Ball stand, this is one event you’ll want to be appropriately dressed for (read: loose fitting clothing).
Running from 5-10pm on Saturday 3rd and 12-10pm on Sunday 4th October, head down early and prepare your elbows as this will, no doubt, be a popular event!
