Founder Behind Bali’s Barbacoa To Open Venue In Nobby Beach

Any Bali regular will know Barbacoa is one of the hottest restaurants in Seminyak.

So, if you’re anything like us, you’ll be damn excited to learn Barbacoa’s founding co-owner, Adam Dundas-Taylor, a Gold Coast local, is bringing his restaurant smarts and kitchen skills back to the homeland, with preparations well underway to open a restaurant and bar in Nobby Beach. Srsly!

Called Fire Cue, a spin on “barbecue”, Adam’s new baby will embody many of the same insanely tasty cooking techniques that’ve garnered him a near cult following in Bali. Modern Latin American food is the influence, with a big focus on meats cooked over a wood fire and charcoals, ensuring that smoky goodness is infused throughout.

Designed around sharing, Fire Cue menu teasers include empanadas, hand-made tacos, cold-smoked ceviche, chipotle ribs, brined chicken wings in romesco sauce, Spanish croquettes, and tuna pizzas. Add to that, epic meat offerings off the “parilla” barbecue like grilled marinated hanger steak, rib eye, flamed prawns, charred octopus, Portuguese chicken, fish, and squid. We are drooling just thinking about it!

Adam has managed to get his hands on a sweet venue in hip Nobby Beach, and is madly working away transforming the space into a sultry new eatery and bar worthy of a spot on your fave to-dine list.
