So admittedly it’s not in the spirit of a summertime slim-down, but we’ve quickly calculated, and yep, this is one dinner that’s worth the calories. 

What is it that has us unbuttoning our jeans and pushing our bikinis into the bottom drawer? Our favourite little eatery, Sparrow Eating House is throwing a freakin’ dessert degustation for one sugar-fuelled night this October!

TBH, this is not their first rodeo. We had the pleasure of indulging in the first edition of Sparrow’s four-course winter dessert degustation and it was truly something else. Little wonder really that the night sold out before you had the chance to catch wind of it. 

Happening on Thursday 26 October, in celebration of spring, seasonal ingredients will take a starring role, starting with a drool-worthy French rosé jelly and ginger trifle. Mmmmm. The night then continues with a twist on the fritter. We’re talking spiced rum and pineapple fritters complemented with a butterscotch dipping sauce. 

Yep, this is dessert like you’ve never seen it before.

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any better, you’ll be treated to a grapefruit curd tartlet adorned with spiced cream and blueberries. Then, lick your plate clean as next you’ll be devouring Sparrow’s take on a Bounty Bar. Are you drooling yet? 'Cause we sure as hell are...

If Sparrow’s first dessert degustation is any indication, these tickets will disappear in the blink of an eye, so round up your fellow dessert-obsessed buddies and secure your tickets, stat.
