Goodbye 2018, you've been...pretty good to us, but now we're in the "new year new me" mood.

It's time to farewell the year that was with live party tunes, flowing booze, good vibes and plenty of food. Good thing Melbourne has you sorted with an endless amount of parties to help you celebrate, but we've rounded up our favourites.

Here are the 12 best New Year's Eve events in Melbourne.

The Emerson

The Emerson rooftop is decked out with lounges, outdoor heaters and plenty of floor space to have a boogie. There will be performances by Feenixpawl, Jason Forté and Jonno Haze, with a complimentary tiki cocktail and a four-hour food and drink package to get you in the right headspace to celebrate the new year in the best way possible.

Where: The Emerson Rooftop, 145 Commercial Rd, South Yarra
When: Monday 31 December from 7pm

The Posty Italiano Partito
