We're lucky to live in a city where the food scene is fast-paced and always changing, so to keep you in the know, we’ve had our eyes peeled for the newest openings and tastiest products around Auckland. This week there's warming mulled cider and apple cinnamon pancakes on the line-up of things you need to get amongst. 

Here’s a round-up of the foodie news you need to know this week.

Eat My Lunch's New Britomart Hub 

Eat My Lunch are an amazing company helping to fill the bellies of children going to school without, with their buy one, give one system. The team now have a permanent spot in Britomart where you can enjoy the delicious food created, while still helping out someone in need. The grab and go concept means you can buy freshly made sandwiches, salads, snacks and coffee for a quick and easy breakfast or lunch and in true Eat My Lunch style, for every $14 spent, a lunch will also be given to a Kiwi kid in need. 

Warm Up With Monteith’s Mulled Cider

Mulled wine is a well-known winter treat, but mulled cider? It's just as good and something you need to try if you haven’t already. Monteith’s are setting up cosy mulled cider stations at a number of bars and restaurants around Auckland so you can get a taste of the goodness. Monteith’s Dark Fruit & Cider is slowly mulled with spices, honey and orange rind to create the perfect, warming drink. Keep an eye out at Sweat Shop, The Bluestone Room, Danny Doolans and other spots around the city for a try. 

Apple Cinnamon Pancakes Are Now Too Easy 

Nothing says Sunday morning like pancakes and Marcels are the easiest way to go if you are feeling extra lazy first thing. Craft’d Wine and Spirits Festival 

The inaugural Craft'd Wine and Spirits Festival will land in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter this July, bringing with it more than 40 small producers showcasing their best tipples. This new festival offers tastings, masterclasses, food trucks and entertainment all in the celebration of delicious drinks.
