Tell me, what’s the most excited you’ve ever been about buying underwear? Well, triple that. Everyone’s favourite, Uniqlo, has announced another collab range with Alexander Wang, and it's on something we can all justify.
If Alexander Wang isn't the coolest person in fashion, I don’t know who is.
Equally, I’m super into Uniqlo. Who isn’t? They’re legitimately the best basics brand out there, and they’ve been bang-on with some of their recent collaborations (check out the SS18 JW Anderson range, if you need convincing).
We don’t know a whole lot about this Alexander Wang collab yet, but given the impeccable quality of both Wang and Uniqlo, we know it’ll be sleek, practical and fashionable.
Wang spoke exclusively to Vogue about the collab, confirming that the pieces would be a range of “the most basic of basics: bodysuits, tees, leggings, bras, and briefs for men and women in a range of neutral colours and Wang’s favourite shade of neon green.”
Discussing the range, Wang says the thing he most loves about the pieces is “They can really be worn on so many different occasions. Wear the bra top with high-waisted jeans and a denim jacket”.
The designs will be made with Uniqlo’s Heattech fabric, which Wang has always admired, “Heattech is a program created out of innovation, function, and utility. It’s something that I’ve always been very inspired by. The advancement and innovation in fabrication”.
The Alexander Wang X Uniqlo collaboration drops later this month at a “unique and special” event in New York, and the products will be priced between $15 and $40. We'll fill you in as more details come online.
