Monday 18 May marks the day that indoor gym classes can recommence—provided there’s a maximum of 20 participants and limited shared equipment—and we are pumped.

Get back on the saddle with a few of the best boutique gyms in Perth that are re-opening, just remember to keep up the handwashing and stay away if you feel the slightest hint of a sniffle coming on.

Set 30 Studio

Your favourite underground hip hop gym is re-opening its doors next Monday and while a few adjustments have been made to accommodate health and safety, the fun factor is still sky high at S30. With lighting and music that will make you think you’re out on the town, the burn will bring you back to reality and those rock hard abs will make it all worthwhile.

Heartbeat High

Heartbeat High will be back in the studio as of Monday, but the reformers are still away for now. To keep in line with the safety regulations, they’ll be running floor classes only but don’t worry, the burn will still be very real. They’ll be keeping regular memberships on hold for now and instead,  they’re introducing seven days of Pilates Play for $32 which will get you unlimited access to Mat Pilates, Bump n’ Grind, SweatCity and Rolls and Release classes. No equipment will be used and they’re asking everyone to BYO mats at this stage.

El Toro

If you want to get your box on, King Street’s El Toro is the place to do it. They’ve got five new workouts on offer which combine boxing with body weight and strength exercises to get your bod back into shape. Book using the MindBody app or risk missing out on your cardio, strength and a solid anger management session. Just remember to pack your own boxing gloves because sharing ain’t caring right now.

Reboot Collective

North Perth and East Perth

Reboot Collective used the two-month closure to regroup and will be reopening their North Perth gym as well as a brand new space in East Perth. Reboot offers all the usual training sessions as well as floatation therapy, steam cocoons, remedial massage, infrared saunas and ice baths. You’ll also get to cop a range of beauty treatments including lash extensions, spray tans and even a groovy new chop from the on-site hairdresser.

Bodies By Ryan

Bodies By Ryan will be open for business as of Monday 18 May and they'll be back on their usual timings, but with a whole lot more hand sanitiser. Each person will have their own set of dumbells so there's no sharing necessary, and the policy is no towel no play so don't forget to bring that along. They've started by reactivating their existing member's subscriptions but if you want to get in on the action, get in touch.

The Yoga Garage

The home of hot yoga, The Yoga Garage will be back in business from Monday 18 May. The studio will be 100% contact free and you'll need to bring your own mat to class, but once you're there you can expect the same delicious workouts you're used to. The team here are offering a $59 pass which will get new members unlimited classes for 30 days, while those of you who have already used the intro offer can get the same pass for $99. Sign up using the MindBody app because classes are limited.

The Yoga Vine

Yogis will be happy to hear The Yoga Vine is back in business as of Monday 18 May with three classes per day—Dynamic Vinyasa at 7am, Xpress General at 12:15pm and Xpress Slow Flow at 1:15pm. They won’t be hiring out mats for now so you’ll need to bring your own, and they’re encouraging you to book on the MindBody app as there will be no more than 20 people allowed in any one class, obviously.
