You’d be forgiven for thinking that things might slow down a bit in Perth due to all this COVID-19 business, but you’d also be wrong. The latest multi-million dollar redevelopment announcement comes from the guys behind the Leederville Hotel. Owned by FJM Property—the same team behind the State Buildings and The Rechabite, to name just a couple of their success stories—the Leederville Hotel is planning a huge redevelopment which will see a multi-venue foodie, retail and entertainment hub for the people of Leederville.
FJM has teamed up with Dale Alcock of ABN Group to build a new headquarters for the business on the current Leederville Hotel car park site and the hotel will be repositioned to make way for a laneway precinct which will connect the hotel and the ABN headquarters.
“The goal is to create the pub of the future offering multiple spaces with differentiation and interconnection” says Mr Fini.
Today they begin dismantling the iconic marquee (most recently home to popular nightspot, The Blue Flamingo), marking the first phase of construction on the new development.
Keep your eyes peeled for more progress on this one, with the new space promising to provide community spaces, plenty of food options and a genuine push towards connectivity and engagement within the community.
