So, when we found out Westfield Carousel, Westfield Innaloo and Westfield Whitford City will be transformed into magical, nostalgia-filled 90s pop-ups, safe to say we got a bit excited—dare we say the feeling was akin to too much red cordial?! The pop-ups are being described as the ultimate playground for kidults, which we’re 100% here for.
Prepare for a unique one of a kind, very nostalgic pop-up this spring with Taste. Shop. Play from September 8 - 9. We’re talking crazy-good offers from the center’s best retailers, fashion and beauty experiences, killer giveaways, dessert stations (we repeat: DESSERT STATIONS!), art installations, food markets and so much more. At this point, our plans are canceled and the group chat is well and truly fired up, and our hair may or may not be adorned with butterfly clips.
You can catch ZOOM—an Australian-first interactive experience—by the acclaimed artistic duo, Craig & Karl at Westfield Carousel. Think lucid explosions of colour and full-on sensory overload. Visitors can head down the art walk and into the installation’s immersive zone to get amongst a bunch of supersized inflatables. Yes, SUPERSIZED. INFLATABLES. We told you this was made for kidults. Plus, download the app beforehand and you can take things next level with the installation's 3D augmented reality experience. And yes, for the child within, there will be free stickers. So go wild, team.
Over at Westfield Whitford City you can hit up posy making classes whilst sipping from the roaming champagne cart. Or, if you really want to live your best 90s life, there will be a giant ball pit prize hunt. Because as if you haven't been dreaming of an adult-only ball pit since '96.
