The Rechabite launched with a bang last year and really came into its own during Fringe Festival 2020 and now with the latest easing of COVID restrictions which take effect tomorrow, it’s back to its old tricks with special events galore.
This winter, they’re opening the Winter Hall upstairs which is all about good food, good tunes and good friends. Decked out with long German beer tables, festoon lighting and loads of pine trees to really set the dark, wintery scene, this is the perfect place to catch up with your mates now that iso is just about behind us.
Of course, there’s plenty of food and booze on offer but we think you should leave it to the pros and go for the Winter Feast menu which is just $45 and designed for two. With grilled flank steak with Sichuan peppercorn rub and Chinese BBQ sauce, cucumber and lychee salad with vermicelli, chicken wings, Thai style peanuts and lotus buns with sambal, you’ll be completely stuffed by the end of it.
Opening this Saturday 6 June, they’re kicking off with DJs Captain Oshi and Megan Lester so you might want to book.
If you can’t make it this weekend, it’s open Thursday to Sunday from 5pm to late throughout winter.
Looking for more exciting things to do this weekend? Strike and Holey Moley are re-opening so book yourself in.
