Batter Up Taiyaki

Somewhere between a pancake and waffle, taiyaki is a Japanese dessert filled with a delightful surprise. In Batter Up's case, that surprise is vanilla custard cream, matcha custard cream or red bean. These guys pop up at the Perth Home Grown Market every Sunday and the Subi Farmer's Market fortnightly on Saturdays, give them a follow on Instagram to find out where they're headed next and what feature flavours they have going.

With their main outpost in West Perth and a smaller cafe at Garden City Shopping Centre, they've got your coffee down pat, as well as colourful lattes, incredible croissants (supplied by Backdoor Bakehouse next door in West Perth) and plenty of top-notch wines for when lunchtime rolls around.
Mummucc
If you're on the hunt for authentic Italian goodness then look no further than Mummucc (pronounced ma-mooch) in Wembley. The menu is short and sweet, but we still struggle to pick a favourite. Not to worry, the staff here are super friendly and always wanting to help. We highly recommend the Chitarra Alla Gricia pasta with guanciale, smoked lardo, cured yolk and pecorino. Special mention also goes out to the local tiger prawns with fermented chilli, bottarga butter and pancetta crumb. Be patient, this spot is walk-in only and it's generally busy, but oh so worth it.

Maison Saint-Honoré has opened up a second store in Floreat, serving incredible handmade macarons and pastries using traditional recipes. From lemon meringue tarts to crepes and an abundance of croissants; they do all your French favourites and so much more.
