It’s that time of year again—the time to fly your freak flag with a totally crazy costume and get your spook on!

If throwing a Halloween party is not on your 2016 agenda, but you still want to party, then you’re in luck! We’ve hunted down a handful of our fave restaurants and bars who are gearing up to celebrate Halloween on the Sunshine Coast with monster bashes, and ya’ll invited.

The Basement | October 29

Dig your fave Halloween costume out of the wardrobe and get to The Basement for a crazy fun night of booze, live music, and weird encounters. If you haven’t yet checked out Nambour’s newest bar, brought to you by the guys behind Your Mates Brewing Co., this is your chance.
Time: From 8pm

Old Soul | October 29

Old Soul is dishing out the spooks for Halloween this year. With DJs pushing out freaky beat after freaky beat—hello, MJ’s Thriller—and face painting in the whiskey lounge, it’ll be a horrifyingly fun night that you probs won’t remember. #toomanyshots Get in early, as it’s $5 entry after 10pm.
Time: From 9pm

Café Le Monde | October 29

If you’re in Noosa being all fit for the tri (see next event), and need to let your hair down after a day of sweating it out, Café Le Monde’s Halloween party could be just the fix you need. Jasti & Nixd will be hitting the decks, plus we’ve been told there’ll be Halloween-inspired cocktails and decorations, a full stage and lighting show with a fog-filled dance floor (get us there!), and trick or treat at the bar. Halloween, we don’t get you but we like you.
Time: From 9pm

Rocky Horror Show | October 30

Want to celebrate Halloween in a more low-key way? Pile your best mate/lover/dog into your car and head to the drive-in at Eumundi (the showgrounds), as the Rocky Horror Show hits the big screen. A little bit sci-fi, a little bit musical, and a little bit comedy, this flashback of a film is made event better with a lapful of popcorn, lollies, and hotdogs from the candy bar. There’s a limit of about 150 cars, and at only $25 per vehicle, these tickets are going to go fast.
Time: Gates open at 5.30pm for a 7pm screening

Bordertown | October 31

If you’re one of those people that won’t stand for celebrating Halloween on any day except October 31, then you’re in luck, because our fave American BBQ joint in Noosa, Bordertown, is throwing a Tiki-themed Halloween party on actual Halloween. Entry is free, there’ll be tunes spinning from a guest DJ, best costume prize, annnnnd you’ll also nab a complimentary cocktail—they’re generous like that!
Time: From 6pm
