If you’re mad for meat, we’ve got some downright exciting news for you.
An awesome meat-centric event is popping up on the Sunshine Coast and here’s everything you need to know.
The Sunshine Coast’s first ever Beef & Beers Festival will be a giant foodie heaven, dishing out barbecued chews and ice cold brews to the hoards very soon.
Held at the Sunshine Coast Stadium on Saturday 31 August, the protein-filled event promises to serve up the best slow-cooked smoked meats (think: lamb, ribs, pork and beef) from some of our favourite restaurants and stalls, including Dirty Moes, Gympie vendors Beauty and the Beards and the German Sausage Hut to name a few. Post-meat feast, your dessert stomach will be well-looked after thanks to the folks at Donut Kitchen and their morsels of doughy perfection.
But that’s not where it ends, it’s also a beer festival after all. So, expect a full range of thirst-quenching beers from Newstead Brewing Co. and Diablo Ginger Beer, plus live blues and roots tunes from the likes of Mufasa + The Pride, Manoa and Jordan McRobbie.
There will be an onsite BBQ and grilling expo for those who want to learn while gorging on the good stuff, plus an in-depth Q&A with industry experts, putting an end to your barbecue horror stories. And, if you’re a tad competitive, you might want to sign up to the hot dog-eating competition or the awards for the best beard—just make sure you clean it of any brisket before swooping up the prize.
Early bird tickets to the Beef & Beers Festival have just dropped, so grab yours here and then get counting down to this winter’s biggest and best meat fiesta.
