The Tex-Mex that blew Brisbane city slickers into oblivion has thrown open the doors to its first Sunshine Coast restaurant.
Nabbing a prime position along Sunshine Plaza’s waterfront dining precinct, The Riverwalk, El Camino Cantina seats a whopping 250 hungry bellies, both indoors and alfresco.
If you are yet to experience the sensory overload that is El Camino Cantina, here's what you can expect—bright, neon-lit interiors with a mish mash of quirky objects on the walls. On the menu you’ll find handmade soft-shell tacos stuffed with seven deliciously different flavour combinations, sizzling fajitas and food coma-inducing burritos. Plus, you can help yourself to bottomless baskets of complimentary tortilla chips with vibrant salsas served from converted Chevvy trunks. Basically, it's the perfect spot for a group date with your whole crew, especially if you plan on ordering a few rounds of those signature margaritas—try the frozen mango!
The new location is dishing up shareable plates of tasty Tex-Mex available every day, as well as some pretty spicy deals like $2 Taco Tuesdays, 10-cent Wing Wednesdays, half-price fajitas on Thursdays and a pretty enticing burrito and beer lunch special for just $15 on weekdays. There’s even a complete vegan menu available! And if you’ve been looking for a new happy hour for knock-offs, El Camino Cantina is all over it from 4pm to 6pm during the week.
No longer do you need to drool from afar, because this unashamedly Tex-Mex joint is now officially open for business. So, head in there or find out more details here.
