Okay, so we know we had you at hot dog eating competition, but in case you needed more persuading, keep reading.

Dirty Moes is hosting its second annual hot dog eating competition, and it’s sure to be quite the spectacle. Renowned on the Sunshine Coast for its delicious and hearty food inspired by America’s south, Dirty Moes knows a thing or two about classic American cooking, so you can guarantee their hot dogs will be stuff-your-face worthy. Which is just as well because you could be eating a lot of them.

Held mid-April, the competition is essentially a 10-minute all-you-can-eat hot dog frenzy. It’s pretty simple really—whoever can eat the most hot dogs, takes home the prize. If you manage to stuff yourself silly with the highest number of hotdogs, you’ll walk home with $200 cash, a trophy and a hot dog t-shirt. The event will be hosted by funny man Drew Cantle, who will provide pre and post-hotdog eating entertainment, as well as hilarious commentary during the heats.

So, how many hot dogs do you think you could eat in 10 minutes? With both of last year’s winners coming back to defend their titles—four hot dogs eaten in the women’s category and 11 hot dogs eaten in the men’s category—it’s up to you to beat them.

If you’re keen to sign up or have a mate that really likes hot dogs, then register for the competition here. Registration costs $30, and the price includes your very own hot dog t-shirt, plus all the hot dogs your heart desires. So, what are you waiting for?
