Clear your calendar this weekend and make a beeline for the launch of the inaugural Village Vibes Festival, popping up in Peregian Beach.
The perfect chance to support Peregian businesses and the local community post-bushfires, this family-friendly event spans over Friday and Saturday, bringing together a culmination of events, including food and drink, wellness, fashion, live music and so much more.
All the fun kicks off at 3pm on Friday afternoon with a theme of ‘twilight shopping’ taking over the village. Local boutiques will open their doors to the masses for spring fashion launches, discounts and, most importantly, wine and cheese.
If you’re buying for your four-legged friend, don’t miss Yappy Hour at Peregian pet store, Peticular, where a percentage of purchases will be donated to Wildlife Rescue Sunshine Coast to assist with the care of animals who have suffered from the fires. And, if you need a new photo of you and your fur baby for the fridge, there will be a photographer on hand taking professional shots for $25—book your timeslot here.
For those who think with their stomach more than their head, Peregian Beach restaurants will be running specially-curated sip and taste specials across the village—meaning you can restaurant hop with each plate you devour. Is there any better way to eat?
But it doesn’t end there. When Saturday rocks around, the focus will shift to wellness, fitness, children and a big thank you to local volunteer rescue organisations, with raised funds being presented to the local Rural Fire Service at 12.30pm. You can donate here.
Take the littlies to The Village Kids Tea Party at Kelly’s cafe and, for the adults, get your stretch on with free yoga and Pilates classes hosted by the teams at Flitefit and Pilates Success.
We couldn’t think of a better time to celebrate this little beachside community than now, so grab your favourites and head to Village Vibes Festival and soak up the best that Peregian Beach has to offer.
