Whatever you thought you were going to do over the New Year’s break, think again. Because Woodford Folk Festival’s line-up has just dropped and it’s a cracker.

Those who plan their summer holidays around a trip to Woodfordia have probably been waiting for what feels like forever for this news, so we’re here tell you that the wait is finally over. Cue confetti!

With over 400 artists flocking to this year’s festival, it’s a pretty sure bet that all music tastes are going to be met. Now, we can’t go through all of the musicians because, we just can’t. But we will say that the likes of Gang of Youths, Urthboy, Thelma Plum, Tash Sultana, Blue King Brown, Little May, and Paul Kelly are gonna be taking to one of the Woodfordia’s 25 venues. Getting excited yet?

As always, the Woodford Folk Festival is set to sprawl over six days from December 27 to January 1. The 2016/17 programme is packed with a super wide range of events, workshops, and shows, from live music and meditation to comedy and talks by interesting peeps including good ol’ Dr Karl. It’s all about art, expressed in different forms, and this we like!

Pre-festival tickets are now selling via the festival website, and with a 20% discount you should probably get a little click-happy and nab them while they last. There’s a full festival pass (with and without camping) and day tickets, so unless you happen to be gallivanting your way to another festival, there’s really no excuse not to make a move.

When: December 27, 2016 to January 1, 2017
Where: Woodfordia, 87 Woodrow Road, Woodford
