Goodbyes are never easy; and while the sun might still be shining (for now), we all know our days of light filled Sydney mornings are numbered. We know just how hard (make that damn near impossible) it is to get out of bed and carpe diem when it’s chilly AF outside—can we get an Amen? But fear not our healthy-minded friends, we have just the motivation you’ll need to keep your #healthyliving game on point in the cooler months.
We’ve slurped our way through best of Sydney’s juices so you’ll be well hydrated on your way to work, post-morning run (resolutions can start in March) or let’s be honest, to curb even the harshest of weekend hangovers.
Here are the 11 best spots for fresh juice in Sydney.
Nelson Road Tuckshop
Sydney’s grown-up tuckshop in Bondi Junction takes a selection of seasonal, high quality ingredients and transforms them into blended deliciousness filled with juicy goodness. We just can’t go passed the inflammation fighter known as the Yellow Blend, filled with orange, mango, banana, peach, cashews, carrot, turmeric, ginger and coconut. Don’t miss their daily special juice loaded with premium fruit and vegetables that won’t make your hips cry.
The Health Emporium
The Health Emporium is Bondi’s super food standout and squeezes delicious, fruity goodness on the daily. We can’t get enough of the Tropical Bliss, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the options on the menu. Their healthy ingredients are sourced locally and abroad, and the juices are designed for those with a more mindful approach to their food and lifestyle choices. Located just minutes from the beach, one of these freshly squeezed juices is just what you need to kick-start your morning.
Of course, juice doesn’t just have to taste good. With cold winds, sporadic rain and constant dry heating blasting its way into your life, a refreshing blend of fruit and veggies could be helpful in preventing that dreaded winter flu. Bondi Wholefoods’ Winter Juice is a boost of cold and flu-fighting vitamin C, with orange, carrot, lime, ginger and mint. They also squeeze a mean virgin Bloody Mary juice, dubbed the Green Mary, and it’s so delicious you might just forget it’s alcohol-free (we said might).
We’re sure this isn’t the first you’ve heard of About Life, but in case you needed any reminders, they produce one hell of a good juice menu. For all of your cold, fresh juice needs you’ll find green juices, thirst quenchers, root juices, fruit juices, and even DIY juices. Our favourites are the Hydrate juice, a mix of watermelon, apple, mint and lime, and the Black is the New Green (see what they did there?), a more daring fuse of apple, spinach, cucumber, kale, lemon and activated charcoal powder. It’s hard not to be distracted by all this yumminess getting your life in order, so grab a juice for now one for the road.
With five health cafes around Sydney, and an online store too, these guys are the goods. They stock 100% raw and organic cold pressed juices (amongst other yummy goodies) and the variety is almost too good to be true. For all your iron boosting needs there’s the Popeye: kale, spinach, cos, celery, cucumber, parsley and lemon. The Golden State is your go-to natural immune booster, rich in antioxidants, with orange, carrot, pineapple, green apple and lemon. And if, like us, you need a caffeine boost then the Pacino of filtered water, almonds, cold brew coffee, dates and sea salt is for you. And if you reallyyyyy can’t find the motivation to get out of the house (hey, we’ve all been there), you can get your Cali Press fix delivered to your door #winwin.
Youeni is on a mission and that mission is healthy and whole, in all aspects of life. To achieve this, they’ve created a menu of raw and simple options that will make you feel rich in heart, body, mind and soul. Their juices are a simple selection of traffic light colours—red, orange and green. The red is a combo of beetroot, carrot, lemon, ginger and apple, the orange is, well, a whole lotta oranges (duh), and the green includes spinach, celery, lemon, cucumber and apple. Venus Wholefoods
Venus Wholefoods is die-hard-wellness to the core, delivering super food blends and cold pressed juices for the energy you need to survive the day. Their drinks are all aptly named, think love, wisdom, and empowerment, so it’s kind of impossible to leave here without loving yourself just that little bit more. We just can’t go past the Cloud—a blend of banana, coconut water, toasted hazelnuts and vanilla whey protein.
Bread and Circus
Bread and Circus literally has something for everyone, with a generous selection of cold pressed juices and blends, poured small or tall and with optional add-ons. You can sip on the Ranga—a combo of orange and watermelon, or the turning Japanese juice with pineapple, mint and yuzu. As always, presentation is on point at Bread and Circus, meaning you can snap your brekky spread and make all your mates jealous. Seriously, the epic colours of these tasty juices will transport you straight back to summer vibes.
What makes the Bondi to Bronte walk all the more worthwhile? That would be knowing Speedos is waiting for you at the finish line. One of Bondi’s most instaworthy cafes has a serious freshly blended juice game. We’ve got our eye on the Energiser; a blend of melon, raspberry, banana, pineapple, ginger and mint. They serve their juices on the go, but we recommend resting those legs and taste testing some of the food (it would be rude not to).
This juice spot promises to revitalise with plenty of fruit, veggies and other goodness. You can purchase a single take-away juice, or be a true wellness warrior with theire 1, 3 or 5 day cleanse. All the ingredients have been carefully selected to include body and mind rejuvenators so you’ll be healthy AF. Our pick is the roots unearthed juice packed full with carrot, beetroot, lemon, ginger and burdock root. We’re talking powerful antioxidants, lots of vitamin A, and something that’s just perfect to detox when you’ve, ahem, overindulged.
Three Blue Ducks
Three Blue Ducks is an old favourite and for good reason, and their focus on local and fresh produce will make you feel right at home on Bronte’s shore. Their cold pressed juices are always a winner but so too are their more simple options like the classic OJ or the Pink Lady apple, you can also opt for the ultimate green juice filled with kale, celery, capsicum, cos, cucumber, apple and lemon. You’re sure to feel healthier with each gulp.
