How this has taken so long to become a reality in the fair city of Sydney we’ll never quite understand, but thanks to the espresso martini gods (they exist and they’ve heard us) a bar called Tuxedo is getting ready to open its doors and, with it, answer the prayers of espresso martini lovers across Sydney.
When it comes to a bar in Sydney dedicated to espresso martinis, why have one when you can have six? Yes six, because choice and because obviously something as brilliant as an espresso martini can be done more than one way. The list starts with the classic espresso martini, on tap. Now we haven’t tasted too many on tap martinis in our time and quite frankly can’t wait to start.
There’s also a Cadbury chocolate martini, which is a homage of sorts to the fact Tuxedo used to be the location for the Cadbury chocolate factory. And something for the rum lovers with a single origin espresso meets coffee liqueur creation, mixed with chocolate bitters and a good lashing of golden rum.
Now what goes well with an espresso martini, we hear you ask? Well the answer would be, obviously, a game of pool, round of table tennis and all the fried chicken that one can muster with the southern inspired menu also including beef brisket and smoked tacos.
Tuxedo will be making Sydney’s espresso martini dreams come true this August at 195 Gloucester Street, The Rocks.
Can't wait? Here are Sydney's best espresso martinis.
