Spring is well and truly in the air Brisbane, and this means a few things for our sunshine town: new menu items are popping up everywhere, the evenings are finally lighter, and alfresco dining is (back) on the cards. And about time, too!
To get us in the new season mood, newbie Brisbane foodie precinct King Street in Bowen Hills is hosting a stunning alfresco dining laneway to celebrate the start of the warmer months—and the incredible food offerings along King Street.
In the soon-to-be warm spring evenings, be seated in a gorgeous spring garden-themed alfresco laneway and prepare to feast on banquets from Il Verde, Fat Dumpling, and The George Bar & Bistro.
Il Verde will be serving up an Italian feast of wood-fired pizzas and house-made risotto for $69pp, ending with a traditional dessert. Take a trip to South East Asia with Fat Dumpling’s $45pp banquet, dishing up crispy chicken curry, sweet soy pork belly, dessert, and, of course, mountains of dumplings to share. Enjoy cheese boards galore as the entrée to The George’s banquet, where for main you will have the choice between fennel and citrus roasted salmon or lemon and rosemary slow roasted lamb shoulder at $55pp.
If this doesn’t already sound like the ideal way to celebrate spring, no matter which banquet you choose you will be welcomed with a spring-themed cocktail on arrival. Banquets and cocktails in the pleasant spring breeze? YES please!
