The Crew From Longtime Are Opening An Incredible Japanese Restaurant!

For almost every single Brisbanite, there are two spots everyone frequents for good times aplenty and bloody fantastic food: Longtime, and Burleigh’s Rick Shores.

If you’ve never ventured into The Valley’s hidden laneway to gorge on incredible Thai food at Longtime, sorry, but you’re not doing this thing called life right. Ditto Rick Shores (their bug rolls are the stuff of legend). Pfft, call yourselves locals…

So, of course when news reaches our desk that the team behind our favourite dining haunts are set to open ANOTHER restaurant, we pay attention. And then lose it!

Honto will soon be Brisbane’s newest Japanese restaurant and bar, comprising of a 90-seat dining area and focusing heavily on Japanese fare.

Nathan Lastevec (of ex-Longrain and Longtime fame) has been named as head chef for Honto—so, yeah expect big things—with the menu focused on a very modern dining experience.

As to be expected with these guys, the details are (for now) under tight wrap, but we can look forward to Honto opening later this month.

Until then, we’ll wait (impatiently) for our new fave Brisbane restaurant to open its doors. The suspense is killing us!

The Details
