Mad for Melbourne markets? Then get excited for the latest opening in Coburg, The Batman Market! Holy smokes Batman, are you for real? We sure are, Urban Listers! It's time to stumble out from your Batcave and strap on some high-tech sunglasses. Spring is here, and all the seasonal produce that comes with it will be filling the stalls at Coburg's Batman Market.
Open every Saturday and Sunday from October 11th, and with over 100 stalls, there will be plenty of opportunity for perusing—uhh, we mean stealthy surveillance. Ranging from fresh produce, arts and crafts, to live music and a wide variety of multicultural cuisine, there's plenty to see and do!
Stealth your way down to snack on some wood fired pizza from Hatful of Steam, or grab a rice paper roll from Nuoc Mama. Treat yourself to some hand-poured sox wax candles by Candles with Senses, or purchase a beautiful terrarium by Raleigh Made to up your hipster points. Batman is totally hipster… right?
Located right next to Batman Railway Station (totally not the secret entrance to the Batcave), it's super easy to get to this new Melbourne market by public transport, or Batmobile if you've got the right hook up.
On Batman Market's launch weekend (October 11th and 12th), the market will showcase exciting multicultural performances, including Chinese lion dancing, a 200-person gospel choir, an acoustic Americana folk band and much more.
So da na na na na na na na Batman (click for cute pug)! Translation: What are you waiting for? Get your batbutt into gear and head to The Batman Market in Coburg this October!
