We solemnly swear we're about to bring you some freaking exciting news.
Hold on to your Wizard hats, muggles. Tickets to the Aussie premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child go on sale today, Monday 6 August (9am).
The sale follows the unprecedented demand for priority booking tickets, which were released to mailing subscribers on July 30, and sold out the same day. So if you didn’t get your hot little hands on some ticks in the early release, you get to have a second crack.
If you clicked on this article, we're guessing you already know all about HPATCC (think about it). But if you need a bit more background (we’re rolling our eyes) here you go: Harry Potter and The Cursed Child was written by J.K. Rowling herself, alongside Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. It’s number eight of the HP series and the first one to be presented on stage. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded play in theatre history (not bad) and since opening in July 2016, it's won 24 major theatre awards in the UK. So yeah, it’s a pretty bigger-than-Hagrid’s-hair deal.
The production will open exclusively in Melbourne with performances from Wednesday 16 January 2019 till 26 November 2019 at the Princess Theatre. It’s presented in two parts, which you can either watch in order on the same day, or on two consecutive evenings (stay with us, it’s worth it).
So, have your wands at the ready people. These tickets will sell faster than Skiving Snackboxes during exam week.
Did you hear? Melbourne just got a new Harry Potter store. Of course you heard, it's been bloody everywhere.
