Wraps are basically the dream on-the-go food item—a combo of all your favourite ingredients, conveniently combined in one easy-to-eat parcel of deliciousness. Your mouth is watering already, amirite, Listers? Here are 7 of our absolute must-try wraps and souvas to be found in our favourite Melbourne cafes and lunch spots. Protip: Keep this handy for your next lunchtime craving!

#1: Mango Mania Chicken Wrap at Get That India

South Yarra

Get That India has fast become one of our favourite South Yarra lunch venues, and it’s largely thanks to its mango and coconut chicken breast wrap. Packed full of flavour thanks to GTI’s amazing marinade, you’ll also find a healthy serving of coleslaw, fresh cucumber, mint yoghurt and deliciously sweet mango chutney in this beauty. An awesome healthy lunch choice that’s still full of your favourite spices.

(Pssst! Get That India is also home of Australia’s hottest burger. Read more about it here.)

#2: Lamb, Kumara & Garlic Aioli Wrap from Youfoodz

Online with home delivery

If you’re as busy as we are, having a stash of tasty food ready to go, straight from the fridge, is an absolute must. We’re loving healthy home delivery company Youfoodz, and their lamb, kumara and aioli wrap is the perfect choice for a tasty stand-by lunch. The wholegrain wrap itself adds a great healthy twist too. Our only tip? Order two—you’ll be craving a second for later in the week once you’ve tried the first one!

#3: Bacon Roti Wrap at Bertie’s Butchers

Richmond

If you read those first two wrap options and thought, ‘Pfffft, who cares about lean options?!’ then this, my bacon-loving friends, is the wrap for you. Using only the finest meat from Richmond butchers-cum-cafe Bertie’s, the breakfast roti wrap is an epic way to start the day or the perfect grab-and-go lunch in Melbourne. Pure pork perfection.

#4: Roast Veggie Wholegrain Wrap at Cupp

Melbourne CBD

If you’re looking for a healthy lunch in Melbourne CBD, our no.1 vegan choice when it comes to the wrap game is Cupp’s roast veggie wrap, slap-bang in our beautiful city’s centre. Crammed full of greens, hummus, pumpkin and eggplant, it’s filling and tasty, and makes for a delicious on-the-go pick-me-up. Cupp does some cracking smoothies and fresh juices too—pick one up for an epic double vitamin hit.

#5: Beetroot Falafel Souvlakakia at Gazi

Melbourne CBD

You didn’t think we’d forget about falafel, did you?! George Calombaris’s central Greek food emporium, Gazi, serves a bite-sized falafel souvlaki wrap that includes beetroot, chips, tahini and pickled onions, making for a mouth-watering souva experience that’s far from the greasy late-night stop-offs we’d rather forget about. George, you’ve done it again.

#6: The Patris Souva at Jimmy Grants

Melbourne CBD, Fitzroy & Ormond

We’re sure that you know all about Jimmy Grants’ drool-worthy lamb and falafel options, but have you tried The Patris?! If you’re a shellfish fan, this prawn, honey, mint and coriander special is going to be your new favourite Melbourne lunch. Seriously great flavour combs that rethink the wrap game.

(If you’re a fish lover, get down to Jimmy Grants’ new Ormond location and wrap your mouth around The Ormond, a fish finger wrap that’s totally worth the trip.)

#7: Meatball Smash at Earl Canteen

Melbourne CBD (Bourke St & Emporium)

Let’s be honest, Listers. ANYTHING that contains meatballs is going to be a winner, but this meatball smash wrap from the sandwich gurus at Earl Canteen really takes the traditional meat-feast that we know and love, and turns it up to eleven. Everything, from the beef and red pepper meatballs, to the house pesto and tomato salsa, to the sprinkling of ricotta is flawless. Oh, and they do it a gluten-free version too. Sorted.
