Gaze Upon This Mural Of Melbourne Made Entirely Out Of Metcards

Artwork of Flinders Street Station in Melbourne created entirely out of Metcards.

Way, way back in 2012 when everything was in black and white, Melbourne's public transport system moved to MYKI, leaving the previous ticketing system of Metcard behind.

Recently, Metcard Art popped up on Instagram, displaying amazing images of Melbourne's iconic buildings and attractions all created in a Metcard collage. All together making an enormous mural out of the defunct tickets.

The project was created by Melbourne music teacher Josh Cohen well before the demise of the Metcard in 2007 for a Melbourne art prize (read the full story on that here) before being purchased and displayed in one of Cohen's music schools.
