Post-conviction legal processes don’t usually make for riveting television, but we’ll make an exception for Making A Murderer Part 2.
Yep, Netflix just dropped the first trailer for the hotly anticipated second season of the true crime phenomenon. Let’s not beat about the bush:
So what can we learn from this? Not a whole lot. Unsurprisingly, Netflix isn't giving away which direction the case might go.
We do get to meet Stephen Avery’s post-conviction lawyer, Kathleen Zellner (one of the most famous defence attorneys in America). "If this case is solid if he's guilty, I'll fail," Zellner says. That’s the sort of confidence you want from your lawyer.
Netflix has already announced this season will focus on not only Avery’s case, but the fallout for his nephew Brendan Dassey, and their families as well. It’s been three years since filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos launched the original series, so we’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
Don’t know about you guys, but we can’t wait.
Making A Murderer Season 2 lands on Netflix on 19 October.
