Perth doughnut-slash-coffee-slash-sourdough extraordinaire, Mary Street Bakery is taking over yet another 'burb, and this time they've got their sights set on Claremont.
Beginning their journey in Mount Lawley and soon taking on West Leederville, every corner of the CBD and most recently, City Beach, the people of Perth just can't get enough of the delicious treats from owners Paul Aron and Michael Forde.
Dishing up all the classics you know and love from the other five locations, you can expect a rotating menu of doughnuts as well as the usual brownies, cakes, pastries, sambos and sourdough. The la carte menu will feature all the classics—bring on the buttermilk fried chicken waffles—as well as some light, fresh dishes perfect for spring. Coffee is coming from their CBD roastery, Offshoot Coffee and is as smooth as ever.
They'll be kicking open the doors on Thursday 10 September at 7am with free doughnuts for the first 300 peoples through the door; all you need to do is get in early and order a coffee. The new bakery will be open seven days a week to fuel all your doughnut, caffeine, brunch and bread needs, so there's plenty of time to check it out if you can't make it on Thursday. Nestled in next to the new IGA on the edge of the football oval at 5 Shenton Road, it's going to be well worth crossing the train tracks for.
