Coconut is having a moment and we’re not just talking about coconut oil. From coconut water to coconut ice cream, we love pretty much everything about this tropical fruit.

So in celebration of all things coconut, we’ve rounded up Perth’s best coconut everything.

Cocadas | Little Shop Of Plenty

Maylands

Move over macarons, we’re all about cocadas now. Little Shop of Plenty whip up mountains of these little sweet treats made with organic coconut and natural flavours and we are lapping them up. With flavours like salted chocolate, matcha and blueberry and lavender, they look like macarons but taste better and they’re healthier to boot.

Coconut Panna Cotta | Heirloom

East Perth

While we can’t claim that we’d go all out paleo ever, because bread, Heirloom in East Perth makes it look pretty freakin’ tempting. The coconut panna cotta here is creamy and delicious and with just the right amount of jiggle—you know what we’re talking about.

Creamy Coconut Bowl | The Market Juicery

Leederville

The Market Juicery is doing coconut right with their creamy coconut bowl. Filled with coconut flesh, banana, coconut milk and toasted bits and topped with banana, passionfruit and muesli, this is one delicious bowl. Do yourself a favour and go and get this now.

Kaya | Sprolo

South Perth

Coconut jam for breakfast? Yes please. Kaya is a coconut jam made with eggs and sugar—a little bit like custard but full of coconutty goodness—and Sprolo makes the best.

Coconut Kefir | NOOD Cafe

Leederville

NOOD is totally crazy for coconuts. They’ve got coconut wraps for your lunch, coconut chia cups for your breakfast and plenty of coconutty desserts. They’ve also got coconut kefir which is full of all the probiotics and goodies your body needs.

Coconut Gelato | Jersey Jack Gelato

Como

Jersey Jack Gelato do some of the best gelato we’ve ever tasted and their coconut gelato is no exception. Rich, creamy and insanely addictive, you’d be a fool not give this a go next time you’re there.

Coconut Bread | Yelo

North Beach, Mount Hawthorn And Subiaco

If you haven’t tasted coconut bread you’re missing out. It’s kind of like banana bread but better (yep I said it) and Yelo’s version is gluten free and tastes like heaven. Gimme.

Raw Coconut Ice Cream | The Raw Kitchen

Fremantle

You didn’t think we could do a coconut list and leave The Raw Kitchen off did you? These guys do coconut everything including a shot of coconut oil in your coffee, but it’s the raw coconut ice cream made with coconut flesh and cashews that has us weak at the knees. There are plenty of flavours to choose between from choc hazelnut and salted caramel to rum and raisin and mango, but we reckon you should keep it simple and go for the coconut and lime.

Cocowhip | May Street Larder

Fremantle

Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, guilt free soft serve jam packed with probiotics. Sounds too good to be true right? Wrong. Head to May Street Larder for some of Perth’s best cocowhip topped with raw Nutella.

Coconut Blossom | Halford Bar

Perth

If you’re after a drink that is pretty as a picture Halford Bar will sort you out. Made with coconut water and sake, this tastes as good as it looks!
