Ok so this weekend we are welcoming in the most anticipated season—SUUMMEERRRRR! Which of course means copious amount of food and drinks, along with some chilled out beach vibes and live music. December means we also have some Christmassy things up our sleeves and some ponies to go with it. Because, ponies.

Not sure what we’re going on about? Read on to see what’s going on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 4 December

Commonly known as WA’s best Christmas market, Bazaar takes over Fremantle Arts Centre for three days straight once again to (jingle-bell) rock the community. Featuring over 50 local artists, there’s bound to be some hidden treasures waiting to be found. Starting on Friday night and continuing through until Sunday, peruse one-of-a-kind fashions, jewellery, ceramics, homewares and heaps more. We reckon it’s the perfect place to do some Chrissie shopping.

Food Truck Fridays kick off this weekend at Nelson’s Pop Up Bar. Grab a group of mates and head down after work to see what all the fuss is about. It’s a free event and there’s even karaoke. What more could you want?

Turning on the Christmas lights this year is turning into a massive celebration, but our friends over in Leederville have been doing it for years! This year the Light Up Leederville Carnival is back with live music, pop-up food stalls, art shows, bars, fashion and entertainment. As the sun slowly starts to set, a spectacular ‘light up’ ceremony will be held where every single Christmas light in Leederville will be turned on all at once. This will be followed by a fireworks display at 8pm. Lovely!
