whats on perth halloween

It’s time to get spooky, kids. Whether you’re into full fright-night dress ups or just enjoy a plastic spider in your cocktail, Perth has something for you to sink your fangs into this Halloween.

Here’s what’s going down this Halloween in Perth.

Little Creatures’ Halloweekend

Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November

Get ready to have a scary good time at The Little Creatures Brewery Village in Fremantle as it transforms for its annual Halloweekend celebrations. On Friday they’ll be serving plenty of wicked brews from 5pm to kickstart your weekend. Then on Saturday they’ve got loads of family fun from 12pm. DJ Marcel will be keeping the spooky spirits high all weekend—spinning tunes way past witching hour.

Intrusion: Keep Playing By Halcyon Playhouse

Friday 30 October And Saturday 31 October

Games can’t hurt you, right? Terror will be unleashed online at 7pm on Friday 30 October and Saturday 31 October when Keep Playing by Halcyon Playhouse officially launches. Filmed simultaneously using phones and smart devices with only seven actors and a partly-improvised script, this 50-minute thriller will have viewers on the edge of their seats as they watch this group of online gamers piece together clue after clue. All you need to do is purchase a $5 viewing pass here, turn the lights off and watch from home.

Halloween At Magnet House

Friday 30 October And Saturday 31 October

Magnet House is promising a nightmare on Murray street all weekend, but trust us, this is one nightmare you won’t want to wake up from. On Friday they throw open their doors for Matterween—featuring two stages, a scary light show and plenty of spooky spaces to slink off into in your freakishly fresh halloween outfits. And on Saturday they’re dialing up the freak factor for their Death, Sex and Glamour event, taking over all of Magnet House as well as Amplifier and The Edison. Each room will be decked out with next level halloween theming so come in your darkest glam looks and get set to worship the dance lords of the underworld while enjoying some ghoulishly good cocktail specials all night long.

Return To The Surface At The Rosemount Hotel

Saturday 31 October

Heavy metal and hard rock fans can thrash the evening away with a double-staged live event at the Rosemount Hotel. They’re going full apocalyptic for Return to the Surface, with a hectic lineup of 16 scream-worthy local acts including Injured Ninja, Scalphunter, Black Stone From The Sun and Yomi Ship. Gig starts at 1:30pm so there’s plenty of time to down some deadly brews and melt into the evening ahead.

Caballitos’ Halloween Fiesta

Saturday 31 October

A spooky fiesta is happening at Caballito’s this Halloween, and we wouldn’t expect anything less. Think ghost pinata smashing, trick or treat surprises at the bar all night, and prizes up for grabs for best dressed. The best bit? There’ll be some sweet booze specials on offer (or as they would say, “Boos”), all served over dry ice to cap off the haunting display. But if you miss this one, don’t worry—Cabalitos’ is backing it up next Thursday with Nacho Typical Thursday Día De Muerto Especiale.

Into The Jungle At Henry Summer

Saturday 31 October

Gear up for a wild night at Henry Summer this halloween—with snake charmers, contortionists, dancers, jungle drummers and fire breathers all adding to this immersive journey into the jungle. If you’re keen to party with the jungle kings and queens, just be sure to pull out your best dress as they have a strict “no costume, no play” policy.

An Eerie Afternoon On The Raft

Saturday 31 October

If you’re just chasing an excuse to get out for the festivities without stepping into a full spook fest, The Raft could be just the ticket. Jump aboard from 4pm then float and drink your night away as you take in eerie views of the moon reflecting on the Swan River. Best bit though? The dress is spooky casual, so there’s no pressure to go crazy on your outfit if that’s just not your vibe. Tickets are $65 and include a drink as you board.

The Court’s Dance Of The Dead Sunday Festival

Sunday 1 November

Not ready to close the book on your nightmare weekend? The Court has just added a ghostly Sunday Sesh that promises to be as hair-raising as their sold out Saturday spectacular. Expect ghostly good times, free green fairy floss, and a $50 bar tab for the most frightfully tantalising frock.
