Brewskies All ‘Round | A Beer Festival Is Coming To Sydney

Australian Beer Festival

Here at The Urban List, we don’t need much of an excuse to celebrate. Hell, we start getting excited for Friday beers on a Tuesday and call that normal. So when we heard the 12th annual Australian Beer Festival was returning this October, we’ll admit we may have cracked open an honorary bottle.

Come on, what better reason for cheersing than a cheers to the drink itself?

If you’re a fan of a good, cold brew (and let’s just say, it’d be un-Australian if you weren’t), then this is the event you don’t want to miss. As the original home of craft beer, it only makes sense that The Australian Heritage Hotel in The Rocks will be hosting the festival where for two (and a half) glorious days, more than 120 Australian beers and ciders will be showcased.

With a strong focus on boutique breweries and some of our fave’s Moo Brew and Two Birds in the line-up, this is something to get excited about.  But that’s not all. Yes, we do love our beer but we also love our food and so to keep the munchies at bay while you enjoy a cold frothy, there will also be an abundance of gourmet food stalls lining the streets where you can pick yourself up a gourmet pizza or if you’re feeling real fancy, some oysters to team with your drink.

There’ll be live music, blind beer tastings and best brewer competitions throughout the festival, so while you sip there’ll be plenty to keep you entertained.
