Everyone knows there is only one thing that can save a dying party—and that’s a god damn cob loaf. Well, a couple of geniuses in Wellington (NSW Wellington, not NZ Wellington) have decided to throw an entire festival dedicated to the world’s best dip, and obviously you’re going to be there.
Now, we know what you’re thinking. What the hell is a cob loaf festival and why has it never happened before? Firstly, we’re not sure how we didn’t think of this one ourselves, and secondly, this is the equivalent of a Country Women’s Association bake-off...but way more serious. Because cob. All you have to do is show up on the way with cob in hand and try your luck at taking home the crown of best cob in NSW.
It’s all happening as part of the four-day paddle by WomDomNom. Because obviously the best way to regain your strength after a gruelling four-day paddle down the Macquarie river is by breaking bread (literally) with your mates. There will also be a full market where you can stuff yourself silly and bask in the cob-related awesomeness (hot tip: head for the Taste of Wellington stall).
