In celebration of the newly released So Frenchy So Chic double album and eponymous food and wine festival, running January 18, 2014, the kind folk behind this Francophile event are giving away 100 free Simmone Logue hampers this Friday in Hyde Park.
The pop-up picnic will run from 12pm to 1pm this Friday the 6th, next to the ANZAC Memorial and The Pool of Reflection on the Elizabeth Street side of Hyde Park. Gastronomic delights on offer include: Simmone Logue traditional baguettes with poached chicken, toasted walnut, mayonnaise, roasted tomato and watercress; Simmone Logue apple frangipane tarts; and refreshing natural fruit sodas courtesy of Capi.
The soundtrack of the day will of course be the So Frenchy So Chic compilation; a number of the talented artists featured on the album will be heading to Oz in January. Lou Doillon, Féfé, Babylon Circus and Lilly Wood & the Prick, among others, will traverse the seas to take over St John's College in Camperdown, January 18, as part of the Sydney and So Frenchy So Chic Festivals. A picnic-style event, blankets will be BYO, but French food and wine will be on hand for your indulgence.
It is first in, first served on Friday—so get your skates on CBD dwellers.
