Get Fishy With It At Sydney Seafood School

Kicking off the 1st of November, Sydney Seafood School's exciting summer program is here. Running through to February 2014, the line-up of Sydney's top chefs rolling up their sleeves is an impressive one. Christine Manfield; Shaun Presland (Saké); Frank Camorra (MoVida), Guillaume Brahimi (Guillaume at Bennelong); Mark Jensen (Red Lantern); Ben Greeno (Momofuku Seiobo); and Darren Robertson and Mark LaBrooy (The Three Blue Ducks)—are just some of the esteemed names on the cooking tutorial list.

The program is an extensive one and for a full overview of classes head to the Sydney Seafood School website. If there is a cooking class you are keen on: don't dilly-dally—these book up fast!

Italian Dinner Party with Giovanni Pilu

Courtesy of the famed Pilu at Freshwater, join chef Giovanni Pilu, along with sommelier Tim Watkins at the Sydney Seafood School, for a three-course dinner presentation with matching wines. You will work in pairs under Pilu's guidance, preparing the Sardinian feast, prior to sitting down and enjoying the delectable fare. Watkins will then talk guests through the wine pairings. This event has a maximum of 20 guests.

Friday the 22nd November, 6:30pm – 9:30pm, $245.

Christine Manfield

If you are a fan of Christine Manfield then this event is for you. A renowned teacher, chef and cookbook author, this involved lunch class will have you mastering recipes and techniques you never thought possible. Get lost in the flavours, textures and aromas of a five-star kitchen for some original cooking.

Saturday the 23rd of November, 11:00am – 3:00pm, $155.    

Mark Jensen of Red Lantern    

Mark Jensen will enlighten you on the hidden treasures of Vietnamese cuisine and lend it a modern-Australian bite. Red Lantern is famous for its fresh, clean and complex Vietnamese fare, full of life and creativity. This engaging dinner class will showcase seafood at its delectable best.

Monday the 2nd of December, 6:30pm – 9:30pm, $120.    

Darren Robertson & Mark LaBrooy of Three Blue Ducks

A hands-on dinner class, presented by the impressive fellows behind Three Blue Ducks, will have you whipping up seafood dishes from their new cookbook, The Blue Ducks. This Bronte restaurant is famed for its produce-driven cuisine, get in quick to learn from this dynamic duo.

Monday the 16th of December, 6:30pm – 9:30pm, $120.

Australia Day Boys Only Seafood BBQ

This class is all about the 'man club'; mastering the art of the weekend BBQ with a mouthwatering seafood smorgasbord. Don the apron, tong up and get sizzling with barbecued fish, prawns, mussels and squid at this interactive lunch class.

Saturday the 25th of January, 11:00am – 3:00pm, $155.    

Frank Camorra of MoVida

Perfecto! If you love Spanish food and count Frank Camorra as one of your foodie heroes, well this one is for you. The Spanish do seafood better than most, so grab this opportunity to learn from a master at this coveted lunch class.

Saturday the 22nd of February,11:00am – 3:00pm, $155.
